The Authority of the Believer
Many of us know that Jesus said that He gave us His authority. Most of us, however, find ourselves hindered in properly exercising the authority we have over spiritual things.
This course seeks to uncover keys and hindrances to walking in our Godly inheritance. This is not another discourse on how people have and should exercise authority over one another, but a look at the spiritual authority every believer has been given in Christ.
The concepts in this course were liberating for so many, that we taught it again in 2014 - with some fresh insights - as a two day intensive seminar.
Session 1 - Introduction, Definitions, and Concepts
In this session, we introduce the Biblical foundation for the desire that God has for His people to walk in the same spiritual authority that Jesus, Himself, walked in while He was on this earth.
Session 2 - Our Position in Christ
The New Testament references numerous benefits that are found "in Christ". This session examines that phrase, and how it relates to the authority that we, as believers, have.
Session 3 - Hindrances to Walking in Our Authority
While authority has been given, there are several things that can hinder us from fully exercising it. This session looks at a few of those barriers.
Session 4 - More Hindrances - Idolatry
This session looks at one of the greatest hindrances to walking in our authority - idolatry.
Session 5 - The Call and Moses' Reluctance
Many Christians don't realize that the same call that God gave to Moses has been given to us; "Set My people free!" This session looks at that call, and at the response of our carnal nature to that mandate.
Session 6 - Final Thoughts on Authority
In this session, we wrap up the course and share some final thoughts on walking in our authority.
