Statement of Faith

As a full gospel ministry, we affirm our faith in the Bible as the divinely inspired revelation of God, both Old and New Testaments, and ascribe to the historic fundamental doctrines of the Christian faith as follows:

  • We believe there is one true God, infinite and unmatched in glory, wisdom, holiness, power, justice and love; that He is eternally existent in three Persons as God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, who are identical in essence, nature and attributes, and equal in power and glory (Deuteronomy 6:4; Mark 12:29; Isaiah 43:10-11; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22).
  • We believe in the Fatherhood of God, that He desires to be the supreme Father to every believer and is the ultimate example of fatherhood in His attentive love, care and discipline in the lives of believers (Matthew 5:45; 6:8-9; 6:26; Hebrews 12:7).
  • We believe in the Deity and eternal existence of Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, in His virgin birth, sinless life, miraculous works, atoning death by crucifixion and bodily resurrection, His ascension to God the Father as man's only Mediator and Advocate and His active life and work within the believer through His indwelling Spirit (John 1:1; 1:14; 3:16; Matthew 1:18; Luke 1:26-27; 2:7; Hebrews 4:15; Acts 2:22; Matthew 28:5-6; Mark 16:6; John 20:17; 1 Timothy 2:5; 1 John 2:1; John 14:12).
  • We believe in the personality and Deity of the Holy Spirit, as the third Person of the Godhead, proceeding from the Father and Son and of one substance and equal with Them, in His convicting work in the lives of all men to draw them to Christ the Savior, and in His indwelling and sanctifying work in the life of the believer to reveal Christ (John 14:16-17; 15:26; 16:7-8; Acts 1:8; Hebrews 9:14).
  • We believe in the Divine inspiration of the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, that they are the supreme and final authority in faith and conduct, inerrant in the original writings, and that when these written words are quickened by the Holy Spirit in the heart of the believer, they become a "word of life" that can transform the lives and characters of people as the Living Word of God becomes flesh in them (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Hebrews 4:12; John 1:1-2,14).
  • We believe that God created man in His own image in a state of original righteousness, that man fell from grace by voluntary revolt, and that subsequently man incurred not only physical but spiritual and eternal death in separation from God and thus is by nature sinful and in need of a Savior (Genesis 1:26-31; 3:1-7; Romans 5:12-21).
  • We believe that salvation is a gift of God by His grace and is received by man through personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, being justified on the basis of His blood, which was shed vicariously by crucifixion at Calvary for our sins (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 3:24-28; 10:9-10; Acts 4:10-12).
  • We believe in water baptism by immersion as an identification with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ and that this baptism empowers us to walk in newness of life (Romans 6:3-9; 1 Peter 3:21).
  • We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit as a gift of God for every believer, to fill the believer with the power of God for life and ministry. We believe there will be evidence of this infilling in the life of the believer (Luke 3:16; Matthew 3:11; Mark 1:8; Acts 1:8; 2:4; 2:38-39; 10:44-46; 19:1-6; 1 Corinthians 14:2; 14:18).
  • We believe the gifts of the Spirit are manifest in the Church today and operate through the Church in Divine-human reciprocity to strengthen and perfect the Body of Christ, and to reveal and exalt the nature and work of our God (Acts 2:39; Romans 12:6-8; 1 Corinthians 12:1-11; 12:28; Galatians 5:22-23; Ephesians 4:11-13).
  • We believe in healing as a Divine work provided through the suffering and graces of Jesus Christ; that God heals physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually as testimony of His sovereignty and mercy (1 Corinthians 12:8-10; Matthew 8:16-17; Mark 16:17-18; 1 Peter 2:24; James 5:14-15).
  • We believe that careful Biblical exegesis provides support for and direct historical evidence for the anointing of women for positions of leadership in the Church (Galatians 3:28; Romans 16:7; 1 Corinthians 16:19; Judges 4:4).
  • We believe that prayer and worship are a way of life, and we support and practice the Biblical pattern of expressive worship personally as well as corporately in the local church. We believe that valid Biblical expressions include clapping, singing, shouting, dancing, musical instruments of all sorts, flags, banners, raising hands, kneeling, bowing, etc. (John 4:23-24; Acts 24:14; Psalms 47:1; 63:4; 95:6; 134:2; 147:1; 149:1-4; 150:1-6).
  • We believe in the universal Church as a living organism or body of which Christ is the Head and all true believers are members thereof, and in the fellowship of believers on the basis of our mutual trust in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, and not on the basis of perfect doctrinal agreement or denominational affiliation (Ephesians 1:22; 4:4-5; 5:23; Colossians 1:18).
  • We believe that God speaks to the heart of man through the Scriptures, through signs, wonders and miracles, through His creation, through other human beings, through dreams and visions, through circumstance, through conscience, through a "still small voice", and through direct personal encounters, just as He did during the time when Scripture was written. We believe that hearing from God, both individually and corporately, is essential to our faith and walk with God (Hebrews 13:8; John 14:26; Acts 2:14, 22, 29, 37, 40-41; Hebrews 2:4; Romans 1:20; Ephesians 4:11-13; Romans 12:6; 1 Corinthians 14:3; Matthew 1:20; 1 Kings 19:12; Luke 24:34).
  • We believe the local church should be a living organism, not an institution. We believe it is meant to be a vehicle through which God can reveal Jesus through the lives of His people, and equip the saints for the work of the ministry (Ephesians 4:11-13; 1 Corinthians 12:28; Matthew 24:14; Mark 16:15).
  • We believe in the resurrection of all men, that those who are saved through faith in Jesus Christ are resurrected unto eternal life and that those who remain lost through their own choice to reject the redemptive work of Jesus Christ are resurrected unto eternal condemnation (John 5:28-29; 1 Corinthians 15:12-52; Acts 24:15; Hebrews 6:1-2; 9:27; Revelation 20:11-15).
  • We believe in the personal and physical return of the Lord Jesus Christ for His Church, as clearly promised in the Scriptures, in the sovereignty of God to bring it to pass at the divinely appointed time, and in the ultimate reign of Jesus, the Christ, with His own, in glory, power, majesty and righteousness (Acts 1:9-11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16; 1 Corinthians 15:51-52).
